Lusiani works closely with the Oceania Sport Education Program (OSEP) under the Oceania National Olympic Committee (ONOC) as a Master Educator and recently presented her master’s thesis on “The Evaluation of the Readiness Assessment Tool on the Development of National Sporting Federations in Fiji” at the ONOC Regional Workshop that followed the ONOC Annual General Assembly at Nadi early in April 2017. The outcome of that presentation was that ONOC agreed to adopt her findings and will mandate that all NOC’s in the region do the Readiness Assessment Tool. She has also been co-opted as Assistant Secretary for the Fiji Netball Association in Fiji, the largest female participants in sport in the country, and the skills and knowledge acquired from her studies was the key factor in her appointment. Furthermore, she is also the Secretary General of Handball Federation in Fiji which was formed in October 2016, and the federation is in the process of getting full membership to the International Handball Federation (IHF). At the moment, Handball Federation in Fiji has been confirmed provisional membership until their next Council meeting in November of this year.
