FIFA U-20 World Cup-Suwon World Cup Stadium

As an extracurricular activity, Dream Together Master 4th batch students visited the Suwon World Cup Stadium to watch the U-20 soccer match (Uruguay vs Saudi Arabia) on May 31st, 2017. Before the game, the schedule, outline, participating countries of the World Cup, and the role of the Committee for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Korea Republic 2017 were introduced to the students by the Dream Together Master 3rd batch alumni whose name is Woo Ram Kim, an Accreditation Manager of FIFA U-20 World Cup Korea Republic 2017 Local Organising Committee (KLOC). With the help of him, the Dream Together Master students could increase understanding of an overview and a process of U-20 World Cup.

After the game, Alfonso Gonzalez (Former Local Organizer, FIFA U-17 WorldCup Chile 2015, 4th batch student) said: “KLOC has done an outstanding job following FIFA requirements for the event. I’ve had the opportunity to watch a few games of the tournament, and I’m impressed with the infrastructure that KLOC prepared for this event.” He continued “I think Korea has a lot of reasons to be very proud of the organization of this international event.”

Extracurricular activity at Suwon World Cup Stadium was a great chance to apply what students have learned in the class to the sport field and to learn facility administration. Also, they could experience a sport mega-event, management and operation of sport facility, and sports marketing strategies.
